Pawsona Privacy Policy

Chengdu Xinqi Technology Co., Ltd. ("Pawsona", "we", "us" or "our") provides the Pawsona mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, the choices you have, and how we protect it.
By creating a Pawsona account or otherwise using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2. Age Restriction
Pawsona is intended for users 17 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@xiniotech.com and we will delete it.
3. Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to operate Pawsona's pet AI personas, Paw Pal social discovery, companion chat, and subscription features.
3.1 Information you provide directly

3.3 Information we do not collect
We do not collect: precise GPS coordinates that are stored or shared (only a coarse radius check is performed), contacts, SMS, call logs, browsing history outside the app, microphone audio (unless you explicitly record video with audio for a PawClip), health data, financial credentials, or biometric identifiers.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only for the purposes set out below.
- Operate the Service: create your account, render your pet's AI persona, deliver chat, posts, comments, and notifications.
- Generate AI content: send your pet profile, prompts, and the content you submit to AI providers (see Section 6) to create personas, avatars, Moments, Paw Tales, replies, and chat responses.
- Social discovery: match your pet with nearby or topically similar Paw Pals. We use only the coarse 15 km radius check, and never reveal exact distance or coordinates to other users.
- Subscriptions & purchases: verify your subscription entitlements through Apple, Google, and RevenueCat.
- Safety & moderation: detect spam, abuse, harmful content, or impersonation, and enforce our Terms of Service.
- Analytics & improvement: understand which features are useful, fix bugs, improve performance, and analyze advertising attribution and campaign effectiveness.
- Communications: send service notifications, security alerts, and (with your consent) product updates.
- Legal compliance: comply with applicable law, lawful requests from authorities, and our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing.
4.1 Advertising Attribution & Analytics
We use AppsFlyer as a third-party attribution and analytics data processor to measure whether advertising leads to installs, subscriptions, purchases, or key in-app milestones, to analyze campaign performance, and to help detect fraud. AppsFlyer may process device and network information such as device model, OS version, IP address (for coarse geolocation and anti-fraud), advertising and attribution identifiers such as IDFA (only after ATT authorization), IDFV, and AppsFlyer install ID, install source, in-app milestone events, and purchase / subscription events forwarded by RevenueCat.
On iOS, we request tracking permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt at an appropriate time. If you deny ATT permission, we do not collect the IDFA, and Pawsona's core features remain available. You can also change your tracking choice in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
5. Legal Bases (GDPR / UK GDPR users)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with similar laws, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract – to provide the Service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests – to keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and improve product quality.
- Consent – for optional features such as location-based Paw Pal discovery, push notifications, and optional analytics. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation – to comply with applicable law.
6. Third-Party Services and Sub-Processors
We share personal information only with the service providers listed below, and only to the extent necessary for them to perform their function. Each provider is contractually obligated to protect your data.

We will update this list when we add, change, or remove a sub-processor.
We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing.
7. International Data Transfers
Pawsona stores and processes user data on servers located outside mainland China (currently primarily in the United States and Singapore). AppsFlyer may also process attribution and analytics data on its global servers, including in the United States. If you access the Service from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or any other jurisdiction, your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in those overseas locations.
Where required by applicable law (e.g., GDPR Standard Contractual Clauses), we put in place appropriate safeguards and, where required, obtain your consent before transferring your personal information across borders.
8. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:
- Account & pet profile: for as long as your account is active.
- Chat history & memory: for as long as you keep the corresponding pet persona; you can delete individual messages or the entire pet at any time.
- UGC (Moments, Paw Tales, PawClips, comments): until you delete it or your account is deleted.
- Logs, analytics, crash reports: typically up to 14 months.
- Purchase records: as long as required by applicable tax / accounting law (typically 5–10 years).
When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required to comply with law, prevent fraud, or resolve disputes.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information (you can edit most fields in the app).
- Delete your account and associated data ("Settings → Account → Delete Account", or email support@xiniotech.com).
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Data portability – receive a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time (e.g., revoke location, notification, or camera permission in your device settings).
- Control tracking choices by denying the ATT prompt or changing your choice in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the rights described above, plus the right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information where applicable. We do not sell your personal information.
EEA / UK residents (GDPR): You may also contact your local Data Protection Authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@xiniotech.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (typically 30 days). We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
10. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, access controls, and the principle of least privilege for our staff. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; if you become aware of a security issue, please contact us immediately.
11. Permissions Requested by the App
The Pawsona app requests the following device permissions. You may grant or deny each permission, and revoke it at any time in your device settings.

The Service is fully usable even if you deny optional permissions, but related features may be unavailable.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in-app or by email at least 7 days before the changes take effect. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision.
